Richard (Rick) Morris - Civilian Military Law and Military Criminal Defense and Security Clearance Law Attorney
Rick Morris has over 22 years of Military experience serving the United States Navy handling a wide array of legal matters including military justice, security clearance matters, military administrative separation and discharge hearings, military DUI, court-martials, non-judicial punishment and appeals. He has served as both an enlisted person with experience as a Chief Legalman (E-7) and serving as a Legal Officer and as an Officer as a Staff Judge Advocate as a Navy LDO Law. Rick has a wide range of experience serving on submarines, aircraft carriers, large shore commands, and in Iraq. Rick graduated from Regent University School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Washington D.C. and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
Rick has experience defending Court-Martials, NJP Appeals, NJP Hearings, Administrative Separation Hearings, Detachment for Cause, and Officer Board of Inquiry.
As a Security Clearance Manager, Rick would track the progress of a member's security clearance from initiation of the investigation to closure and track all previous clearance application packages. When an individual required a Security Clearance and/or to record information into JPAS related to the member's security clearance Rick would generate all command inititatives concerning the security clearance. A member that had information that would affect their security clearance Rick would research the adjudicative guidelines to provide a recommendation to the Commanding Officer.
